Had some changes in the Federal Command structure and Kevin O'Beirne has stepped up to take the Overall Federal Command position. Kevin needs no introduction and I think his ability and skill will add volumes to the event.

Won't need a sharpshooters rifle. Figure I can get O'Beirne and Landrum with one shot from my old Enfield since they will probably we joined at the hip.:)

Hi Pat,
Excellent choice and congrats to Kevin. I wish I could be there, but my wife is expecting our second little one later in June. Being 15 hours away would not put me in her good graces:( with 10 days until the baby is due. I wish you gents all the best and Vicksburg is a great site. Please take some pics for me.
As I learned from Port Gibson, start drinking water boys.

Gents,
The Vicksburg Campaign is almost upon us. For those signing up for Company F,PLEASE get your registrations into Pat ASAP. This is going to prove to be an outstanding event and he needs the head count for rations and I need them for posting NCO positions and to start making contacts as time is growing short already.
I look forward to serving with you in the field.

Y'all will have to shoot quick to get a bead on Kevin. Remember who's cooking for the Feds.

Thanks, Phil. When I see a big bug yankee running to the sinks, I will know it is a live target!
Pat,
I wouldn't shoot you in a part of your body that would be mortal. You know that.:)

I think this will be a danged fun event. Too bad we're not reenacting July 4, 1863; I always wanted to see Craddock surrender. :p

I'd best find my Little Golden Book of Civil War History....
