Mr. Ewing,
I want to thank you for posting this link and encourage everyone to read it. The article is certainly worth the time invested in reading it. The Rock of Chickamauga and the Sledge of Nashville needs more press like this.

Thank you Mr. Ewing from this humble reader for such a great reminder of the oft-overlooked leader. Historians as a whole are remiss when not mentioning Gen. Thomas in the same light as other notable Federal generals.

Has anyone had the chance to see a documentary called "Adam Killogg's Diary"?
It was filmed at the Sam Davis home in Smyrna, TN about 7 years ago. There were several scenes in it with Gen. G H Thomas talking about his upbringing along with the Nat Turner massacre, and just a lot of over looked information about Thomas in history. It was very interesting to watch.
I’m not sure if the documentary is still available to buy and I will have to look up the name of the company that produced the film.
