As many of you know, I advertise the email address of pcalloway@authentic-campaigner.com for you to send me mail.

I have a forward set up on that address that forwards your messages to my real (undisclosed email.)

I don't send mail from pcalloway@authentic-campaigner.com very often, if at all. I've never set up an outgoing mail server profile.

This is notable because there is a virus going around and it says its from pcalloway@authentic-campaigner.com ... it's spoofing my address. If you get it, don't fall for it. If I ever send you email, I will personalize it... I won't just foward you programs.

Beware and don't open attachments from that email unless you know it's from me because I've typed you a personalized message. And realize I don't actually send anything from that email anyway.

Incidentally, my Nortan Anti-Virus is up to date and my machine is clean.

Yeah, it tried to toast me last week. Luckily, my virus scan picked it up and wouldn't let me open it.

Pesky viruses.

Ditto here guys. Someone's system is sick and it's sending out e-mails using tailor@cjdaley.com.

Just beware and if you are unsure about an attachment call or e-mail and I'll confirm or deny it came from me.

Having the same problem here. My antivirus program has done well protecting my machine but my email address has been picked up off of other individual's machines and appears in bogus emails.

And ditto here. I've gotten several bounce messages saying that the virus "I" was sending people didn't go through, even though I'm virus-free and don't use a Microsoft (a.k.a. Megavulnerable) mail client. So far, no one has written one of these things for Mozilla. Knock on wood.
