Hello all,

I am attempting to put together a civilian merchants's impression, and need to get some cash up. I am offering for sale a custom made oilcloth talma. This is like a poncho, but has a hood, and buttons down the front with white bone buttons. It is made from Irish linen, and has correct period oil based black paint for waterproofing. Thee is a small spot of red paint around the neck area on the outside. I can take pictures if anyone is intersted. This is a really nice item, don't let it get away! I am unsure of maker, as I purchased it from ebay. It is quality and different from the cookie cutter poncho. This looks more like a civilian item that would have been purchased at a mercantile, than made at a government arsenal. I am asking $75, I will pay shipping!!!

I would consider trades for a pair of quality boots, civialian pants or civilian sack coat!!! For the carpenters too, I also am in need of a tool chest for my leather tools. Let me know!

Here are some pics of the talma. It is made in a triangle type pattern, just below the neck the talma measures 29 inches from seam to seam. and tapers to 50 inches at bottom. It is approximatel 50 inches long. There is plenty of room for all your gear and you underneath. There are no arm holes or sleeves on this talma. I took a picture of the red paint mark, this could be left as is, or easily painted over with a little black oil paint.

Any more questions please ask!!!

I would doubt it as the thread is over three years old.
