To the moderators/administration personnel-

I have had a great time on this website since I joined back a few months ago. Thanks for all the work ya'll do. Thanks to this site, I have had so many links and discussions that have helped better my understanding as well as impressions in so many big and small ways. Plus, I feel closer to the community of others in the hobby due to this site too.

Just thought you might want to know it's appreciated-

When I get a chance I am liable to check this site several times a day. I have learned many things that have proved invaluable. I also have learned many things by using the search at the top of the page.

Thank You to the Moderators.

I believe it was before the Crash of ‘03, but back in those days it was rumored that the moderators had a special room, The Mod Room, where they were served pizza and beer. Never knew if that was true or not. Seriously, all you Mod, the ones with and without their hats on, you all do a right good job policing this site and keeping it on track. Thanks.

Hallo!

"I believe it was before the Crash of ‘03, but back in those days it was rumored that the moderators had a special room, The Mod Room, where they were served pizza and beer."

Naw, more like vinegar and vitriol, or was it stale bread and water? ;) :) :)

There definately is a private moderator folder where we serve pizza and beer and run up our post counts trying to keep you fine folks from stabbing each other in the eyeball with pencils.

Glad you all are enjoying the site. The mods and other admins really make it happen and I'm appreciative of all they do as well.

Paul, I've been meaning to ask if we can get the anchovies on that campaigner pizza once in a while rather than on the side all the time....

NO!

You'll get banana peppers and like it! Now, man your oar and row.

NO!

You'll get banana peppers and like it! Now, man your oar and row.I didn't realize that Paul was such a stern taskmaster. I hear the strains of Quintus Arrius' words in his post; "Now listen to me, all of you. You are all condemned men. We keep you alive to serve this ship. So row well, and live. "

Charles,

Here's a new avatar for you.

Johnny Lloyd,
How did you enjoy the Woodbury Reenactment? I met you there after you parked your truck in the lot. I am a member of the 2D CONN H.A., the host of the event. I saw your interview with the Waterbury Republican, very well said. From most accounts the event went off well. I hope to hear from you again, you are an asset to the Reenacting community. Randy,

First of all, congratulations on having put on what looks like a fairly successful event.

However, taking a number of factors into account, I don't really think that this forum is the right place to discuss the event in question, and there is another online forum which would seem far better suited. Also, considering that there appears to already be a thread (http://www.cwreenactors.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5465) on that forum discussing the event in question, I humbly suggest that any discussion of it continue over there lest ye incur the post zap of the mod squad. Continued good luck to you.

Joe,
I do apologize if I put my comments on the wrong page, I did not know where to go with that and my only intention was to get in touch w/ Johnny Lloyd. I am new to the site regarding posting and I certainly want to follow the rules and protocols. Could you direct me to where I should post my comments regarding our event? Thanks for your assistance and comments. Look forward to hearing from you.

Randy,

Just click and follow the link Joseph politely provided in his post, and you'll find a great place to discuss that event, and others like it without offending the sensibilities of those who frequent this forum. Over yonder, I do believe there is a thread about Woodbury already in progress.

One of the features here that I don't use very much, but others find very helpful is the "Private Message" or "PM." Just click on a member's screen name, and you'll have an option to view his profile, send a PM, and some have provided an option to send an email through the forum, as well. This place has some handy features.

Charles Heath,
I missed the highlighted thread, but see it now. Will also use pm feature too. Thanks again for your help.
