I want to thank Charles Heath, as a moderator here, for not being afraid to close threads that are elementary, moronic, common sense, or otherwise serve no purpose for the users of this forum based on the forum's stated and apparent purpose.
Locksmith, keep up the good work. Maybe the Deletesmith will get more active now and then too.

I noticed this reason for an edit on one of the recently locked threads on the forum. I don’t mean this to be an attack on any one person but I have noticed some very harsh comments towards the "other" forum in the last little while. I personally don’t feel that it is appropriate for a moderator on one forum to blatantly blast another forum like this. It is un-professional and quite inappropriate. I think if comments like the one above were avoided there could be less animosity between the two forums.
Once again this is just what I feel on the subject, not an attack on any one person.

These two forums have co-existed for quite awhile and actually I have a pretty decent relationship with the provost, despite the fact that I dont know who in the double-hockey-sticks he is.
A lot of crapola gets said over there about the AC too, believe me... but yeah we need to try to take the high road and keep the snide commentary to a minimum.
Thanks for your feedback.

Kevin, now, now, you know some folks with tender hearts and rusty canteens, and haversacks that have never seen the grease from a good chunk of pork will have differing opinions.
Grumpy Dave may have said it best:
"I find the phrase "you can never be truely authentic" used mostly as an excuese by those who don't care to put any or a little effort into the historical correctness of their hobby. Common sense dictates you can only do the best you can with what you've got. It will never be 186x again. We don't fire live rounds at each other. So, like everyone I know, we strive to get as close historically as we can. We use the written history and records. And, we make changes when new evidence shows up. That information is shared, on a regular basis by like minded people, in places like the Authentic Campaigner. That doesn't make loading up a trailor with the wife and kids and calling what you doing reliving history. It makes it theme camping. At least in my mind. - Grumpy Dave"
Maybe we won't be seeing too many "who makes the best utility trailer" posts here. :)
