The Armory Guards would like to announce that we are forming a Federal Campaigner Company for the Battle of Tunnel Hill September 7-9, 2007. The event will be similar to this year’s Resaca event, very laid back, and fun. We are going to portray Company K of the 7th Ohio again. We will be falling in again with our pards in the GVB. Yes this is a mainstream event, but we will be correctly portraying soldiers as we did with the Resaca event. We want to focus on good solid school of the soldier, school of the company, and skirmish drill. (Hint: this will be good practice for the Chickamauga Living History event and next year’s Pickett’s Mill event) We will be using Casey’s drill book. So participants please read over the manual and come prepared. Kiev Thomason will be company commander for the weekend with other Armory Guards folks making up the core group of the company. There will be a small $5 fee for rations, but there is no admission fee, but the Tunnel Hill Heritage Center greatly appreciates any and all donations. So I’ll be asking for individual donations to turn in at the end of the event.

Information on the 7th Ohio from the Resaca event can be found here: http://tandpcorbin.home.mindspring.com/resaca2007/index.htm
The $5 for the rations will act as our registration process as well. Please send the $5 to

By doing this we can plan to have enough food for all who sign up with our company. I will be posting more information later this week about the camping spot and other information that comes along.
Please look over the guidelines below and follow them accordingly. Although this is a mainstream event, we want correct gear and good attitudes. If you have any questions about the guidelines, the event itself, or anything else please feel free to email me at
