What's the story on the video and professional images that were taken at the event? Have they published the video yet?

Thanks,
- Pat

I believe the videos and photos were going to be used by the Georgia tourism folks. I talked to the gal taking the photos at some length and, if I remember correctly, the film was going to be part of a work that was about Georgia during the war and perhaps a film for the visitor center at Ft. Pulaski and the photos were going to be used in a state-wide Civil War pamphlet for the 150th stuff coming up and would also be used in the state tourism booklet.

Others may have more updated info.

Hi all,

I sent an email to Rick Joslyn, one of the event hosts, and asked him today about the video and stills. I got a quick, very nice email back from him and I thought I'd post his response.

Will,

The delay is due to the Ft.Pulaski Park staff (and the event organizers) displeasure over the rough cut. The narrated history and the images concentrated on the IM-600 story on Morris Island, and not Ft.Pulaski. In spite of showing images of Ft.Pulaski !
So the Park is trying to get some re-cuts and script re-writes. The Park wants to use this film in the visitor's center. So, that's the reason.
Everyone is still promised a copy of the final version. I will keep you posted.
Please pass this on to any of your pards.

Regards, Rick Joslyn

Hope this helps keep people informed.

Will

Will,
Thanks for posting that. I had talked to Rick earlier and he had told me the same thing. I meant to post something but completely forgot.

So here I am, just returned from the cold state of michigan and back in good old KY drinkin a coke and I see a thing on "Haunted Savannah" where I just lived for three years. Anyway; I say ok another one of these shows; I'll watch and see how much stuff I can remember. Long story short a scene for Fort Pulaski comes on. The I see some re-enactors and I think those uniforms are nice and realize hey that's Terry Winders and James Miller standing gaurd, Joe Blount, Pat Craddock, Art Milbert and Myself contucting searches of all the Wisconsin Rebels.

Anyway, they have used some of the the film they shot that day at I600 to make this latest show. I checked and it airs air friday morning at 3 am if you want to set your DVR/Tivo

I will try to contact Rick Joslyn who was heading that up. I know there was some fall out with the National Park and the film company after the event.
