Hi,
just wanted to provide some positive feedback on someone who is not spoken of so often on the forum. I received a used '2nd Maryland type' Tait jacket (Blue faced collar, no epaulettes) from the forum that had originally been made by Jim Warehime (makes uniform items for S & S Sutler's of Gettysburg). It's a very nice jacket that compares well in cloth, pattern and construction with two Tait jackets I have that were made by County Cloth. I met Mr Warehime by chance at Gettysburg in September last year and he said that he had viewed the original jacket (held by the Maryland Historical Society) and made a copy for Les Jensen. He also happened to be very friendly and happy to answer my questions!

Hear, hear! I own 5 of Jim's jackets, and a magnificent CS overcoat. Not only are his details precise and quality of construction second to none, but he researches some of the most unusual examples of jackets/coats that you will not find reproduced elsewhere. And, he will gladly point out photographic examples of what he has made. I am proud to say that I have snagged several of Jim's jackets before they even hit the rack at S&S Sutler, my favorite place to shop. True story: this past August Jim brought in an armload of jackets into the shop and when I saw the size tag 46 I just handed my Visa card to Tim Sheads. Gone in 60 seconds.

I am a proud owner of 2 of his coats. I hope to own more of them. Always a perfect fit and S&S do a fantastic job of taking your order.
