Saturday's mail came and included was a nice surprise from Nick. He delivered my pistol cartridge box well ahead of schedule and the quality was what it always has been since I first ordered from him back in early 05-outstanding and first rate. I highly encourage anyone wanting to upgrade their accoutrement sets, pick up an extra (or additional) belt or just blow some cash to give Nick a call, if it is leather, he can make it. I'm personally looking forward to the new style of CS cartridge box to round off my CS set from Nick.

I placed an order for a belt with Nick and he did an excellent job on it. This was a special belt, nothing fancy, just a roller buckle belt, but I needed a real world belt that would lend some support to the pants as well as a fully loaded .45. However, I had Nick make it to period standards, so that I could use it for my civilian impression as well. The craftsmanship is exceptional, and his customer service is superior. His level of service has inspired me. Thanks Nick....excellent job.

I just have to add my two bits here. I bought a Pattern 1861, .58 caliber cartridge box from Nick Duvall. I called Nick to see if he could have it done before an event, and he kicked it into overdrive to have it done for me. It is an excellent specimen! I have nothing but compliments for him. I have one of his hidden roller buckle belts, canteen slings, and know this box.

It arrived last Friday, March 14th, in the "nick" of time for the New Madrid event, almost a month early. As with all the others, the worksmanship and attention to detail is First Rate.

I ordered my leather goods from Nick as well, as a fresh fish just getting into the hobby (AHT was my first full battle reenactment.) I got the whole private's kit and kaboodle from him- Federal waist belt, cap pouch, bayonet scabbard, cartridge box and rifle sling. Excellent, top notch work.

Point in fact, the pards in my unit spent a while 'oohing' and 'ahhing' at the work; considering upgrading their own to Duvall quality goods.

Any and all of my future leather needs will be going his way.

In addition to his standard pieces, Nick has done several custom projects for me. One was a beautiful sheath for a small side knife. Nick not only did the sheath, but sharpened the blade, too.

My favorite Nick project was a scabbard for the Enfield rifle sword bayonet. I sent Nick an original bayonet and scabbard that had seen better days. Nick used the original furniture to produce a beautiful repro. I have another original Enfield sword bayonet scabbard, and they compare quite favorably.

I have recently received a new, much anticipated, Officer’s Folded Leather Sword Belt from Nick Duvall.
All I can say is that it is awesome and I love it!

I believe Nick has some digital pictures he can post on the forum so everyone can drool over it and then place their orders!

I had the opportunity to meet Nick in person back at AHT and I brought up my desire for a nice Officer’s Sword Belt, and Nick let on that he had been itching to try his hand at a folded leather style sword belt for a while and just needed a customer who was interested. Well I jumped at the chance! <O:p

In my eyes it is a work of art with beautiful stitching all around the waist belt, and also on the “Sam Brown” shoulder strap and sword hanger straps. Nick worked up a cool uniform protector flap behind the sword hanger hook that allows the hook and protector to move together around the circumference of the belt for adjustment. As a final touch he added some subtle red leather trim to the outside edge of the uniform protector just to go the extra mile! <O:p

Nick contacted me several times via phone and email to get measurement and design details finalized. In every way it was a pleasure to work with Nick. <O:p

I ordered a two rivet bayonet scabbard from Nick in September or October (can't remember which) and he told me that it may take him a few months to get it done because he was extremely busy and expected to be gone for a while on business. I was a little disappointed because I wanted to show it off at Atlanta to my pards. So you can be sure I was surprised and extremely happy to find it waiting on my doorstep a few days ago all ready for Atlanta!!! The work he does is simply amazing...it is the most beautiful piece of leatherwork I have ever seen. I appreciate so much all the time and work he puts into his leathers. Nick's dedication to accuracy is unsurpassed. He has even obtained original tack hardware and is having them accurately reproduced. I am waiting for Nicks release of his British gear. The new website is being updated daily, and I hope to see the confederate gear as well. I've never heard a negative comment about his work. I have been remiss in not posting sooner.

I'd like to thank Nick for his dedication to craftsmanship. I recently received a belt, scabbard and cap box and I am simply awestruck with the attention to detail and quality.

But what seperates the good from the best is taking it to the next level. There was a shipping problem with the carrier where they delivered my package to the wrong address. It took about 2 weeks to correct, and throughout Nick was in contact with me with status updates and reassurances that I would be made whole should the package be lost. This type of Customer Service is RARELY found today and should be praised.

I wholeheartedly recommend Nick Duvall for quality, workmanship and customer care.

As an aside, I have noticed that the level of customer dedication from all AC approved vendors I have dealt with has been outstanding and never found lacking.

I recently contacted Nick about some work on a box strap for my reproduction of a J.A. Lisk box. Even though he had not made the box, he had NO problem with making the box sling. I researched heavily for months the exact strap that was on this particular box as well as straps that were on other surviving confederate boxes. After finally deciding exactly what I wanted, Nick agreed to make the item. It turned out FANTASTIC and if I had access, I believe I could lay it next to the original and could find no differences. It exactly meets the description of the original and I was impressed with the quality of the leather. Thanks Nick!

She discovered a bookmark on my net browser and gave Nick a call. He spent over a hour on the phone with her to make sure the order was right.

Just Recieved my Federal Issue NCO Sword & Bayonet Baldric
from Nick. When I originally spoke to nick when placing the order I asked him what made his baldric different from all the others. He simply replied "mine's correct". The stitching detail is outstanding, the leather sturdy and not overly oiled, and the buckle sturdy and solid. The process of ordering with nick was easy and smooth. He was always in contact providing updates and answering questions.
