From Tim Welch:
A few years ago I made the trip to Madison specifically to view and document this box. Even though I had viewed a number of other English boxes there was something about this one that struck a cord with me.
That box I chose to reproduce is the Thaxton/Jones box in the collections of the Wisconsin Veterans Museum. Captain William Jones of the 2nd Wisconsin was wounded at Sharpsburg (Antietam), then transferred to the Veteran Reserve Corps. It is believed he brought/sent this cartridge box home during this period. It was donated in 1897 according to museum records. The box is typical of those that were being imported by both Federal and Confederate Governments.
During the month of February you may place your order in a number of ways You may place your order by phone with a credit card, with Pay Pal using send money option, or by mail (check or money order).
