Boys,

One more communication, one more update, four loaded trucks, a happy canine, a pair of petulant pasture ornaments, umpteen phone calls, and things are about ready for yet another road trip. After Thursday afternoon, there won't be much out there in terms of phone or email contact, so this is the time to ask those final questions.

I still can't believe no one asked the ammunition question last week. ;)

We'd do the traditional Abner inspired weather watch, but O'Bee beat us to it on the Participant & Curious Onlooker listserver.

(Harry, I mean General McCall, I hope your pants fit.) :p

Do we ever have a pleasant surprise for Noah....

After that bowl of surprise he was shown at W64, I don't think he'll be that much surprised again.

Grumpy,

I know what you mean. Well, I need to get your final Commander's & Coordinators update sent this afternoon, and the last Commo to the Peeps prior to tipping on out, but this is really just a link for a plug for those who want to contribute a few more dollars to the cause.

I'm jealous of the folks who haven't seen this land before, in an odd sort of way. True, you'll be seeing a portion of the appliance dump we didn't finish cleaning, but we did load up that NPS dumpster in good form, and a few modern odds and ends here and there, but the vast majority of this property is teeming with deer, turkeys, beaver, and all manner of wildlife well worth enjoying. My guess is the skirmishers are going to scare up a heck of a lot of well fed deer moving across that land, and some mightly big splish splashes through the remains of French's Mill Pond may be heard in the distance. The lads on the left flank heading out may well be entertained, and I wouldn't be too surprised if the federals drive some whitetails through the confederate pickets.

Plug for preservation:

You, too can participate, even if you don't leave the recliner and the TV (http://www.authentic-campaigner.com/forum/showthread.php?p=103612#post103612post103612)

I sure hope this weather holds, but I kinda doubt it. Your curse really can't be broken.

Counting down the hours until my flight home this afternoon.

Man, this is going to be such an awesome event!
