I wasn't sure where to ask this; but when I saw this thread I thought this would be a good place to ask. Do you think there will be a lot of walk ons for this event? As far as I can tell through registration, I don't think the event has reached 2,000 registered participants (and suprisingly, the Rebs are outnumbered just over 2 to 1 (765 to 364 according to the site on May 8th)).
Also, it seems like there isn't a lot of hype for this event, and the event is just over a month away. I can't wait myself (it will be the first large event I have attended in a couple of years)!

Also, is there an "already-registered" campaigner list posted somewhere for the event? I'd like to see it.

Thanks- Johnny

John, U.S. or C.S.? As keeper of the muster roll of the "Western Brigade", I can tell you as of May 9th, the battalion has 230 rank and file registered. As to who's registered, let me just say it goes almost coast to coast and north to south. It's going to be fun. I can't wait until it's over!

How's that for not answering your question?

David,

Good questions- Having put on many events like this in the previous years, it is always the last 30 days prior to the event that see CS registrations flow in, and the numbers come close to doubling.

I used to loose sleep over these things.

Ooohh Mr. Lloyd---bring your lady for this one and place her over in the civilian area. This would be a fine time for her to make connections with other quality civilians.

On the front page of the At High Tide website, just look under Registration List (which is under the Announcements) and you will see lists for U.S., C.S., and Civilians registered for the event. I put links here to the PDFs:
http://www.wmhf.org/athightide/us.pdf
http://www.wmhf.org/athightide/cs.pdf
http://www.wmhf.org/athightide/civilian.pdf

I did not know about the last minute thing for confederate reenactors. That will be interesting, I do hope enough rebs come to even out the sides.
