Well the 2.25" Mtn rifle has arrived and is in good working order. We have fired it both live and blank. I can see why Marmaduke liked his four mountain rifles, it's a crack shot. We are full crewed and I will be getting registration from them over the Memorial Day weekend. All is going as planned, we are trying to secure a horse/mule for the added experience, but no such luck at this time. This thing is HIGHLY mobile and I can see why it was effective in the Ozarks. Born and raised in southeast Missouri, I can see why conventional field pieces were not successful. As long as we have "F" troop protecting us, we'll be in good shape:D!

Join up with our company boys and help protect this fine piece of artillery.

Hmmm..... Needs a mule....
who could we attach to the front of it???

Sounds good. Glad to hear things are coming together.
On an unrelated note does anyone out there own a wooden John boat. Like they used to sell down by the Current River???
Amphibious operations might be cool too.

Yes, we are possibly looking to purchase a mule for such an endeavor. Here is a pic of the rifle. These pics were taken at a live shoot.
