This is promising to be a great musical affair.

3 top notch buglers at Brigade and Regimental levels.....and a couple of decent players in the ranks as well. Chris Hall will be with the AoO, Neal Rudy with the WB.

So far we've got 4 AoO Drummer's.....and 3 WB Fifers and 5 drummers.

They will be combined for Reveille and an Hour Long Tattoo each evening (music to unwind with?)

We're going to take a long look at coming up with TWO field music groups for forming Battalion, Parade, marching out to battle, etc. Usually due to numbers we'd form one Field Music's at Brigade level.....but we'd like to pick this up a notch in authenticity.

Finally 4 of the buglers will be forming a band....if any of you can help out/join in we've got some extra instruments. Eb Alto, Bb Baritone, several Bb Cornets. Plenty of music including the 26th NCT charts, Moravian Hymnals (both sets).

For certain we'll have a guitar (painstakingly made repro of a period parlor guitar) and a concertina (that isn't barbed wire). plus some high quality voices.

If you are musical and want to help out/join in......email me at rjsamp@comcast.net or call 630 561 3249.

The camp will be run by music (bugles first, Field Music's follow).....and the First Federal Division staff is as savvy as they get on use of bugles in the battlefield (had plenty of practice at Stand of Ticks).

We'll be available for your drills, so grab us if you need a brush up on the calls/skirmishing by the bugle, etc.

RJ,
Just arrived at work and was popping in Phillips and Rabbai CD as I started a quick stroll through the fora before tackling my first project. I hope others aren't as rusty as I am at picking up the bugle calls. Much work to do for this sojer!

RJ,
I'll be there at division with Chris. I think Jeff Spangler is going to be bugling too. I'll be bringing my Bb Cornet, 1867 Boston, to play with the band. It will be good to see you again. Hopefully we can play together.
