A lot of us are in a similar boat where we need/want someplace to host our unit websites - that is inexpensive without popups, etc. Frankly, Geocities, Tripod etc suck.
I don't want to turn this into a business, but I've already got the space and know-how and have turned some other guys on to this:

You'll probably be seeing other subdomains popup here for the Tar Water Mess and Pumpkin Patch Mess.
If you're looking for a site to host your unit website, I could probably do it here pretty dern inexpensively.
I'd just set you up with a sub-domain and you could upload your own files and keep your own site updated as normal.
