question on authentic cartridges...

I know that this topic has been covered numerous times over the course of time, but i just was curious about exactley how you tie off the cartridge. Ive seen numerous pictures of period cartridges, and have an idea, but i wanted to do it right. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Patch, not not pick on you, but could people PLEASE get in the habit of checking the site before asking questions? There is both a recent thread that answers this question very precisely, and an article in the Links page on cartridges. I was going to provide links, but decided that wouldn't get the desired result. I will tell you they are on here, and you can find them in about 1 minute if you look.

I've done the same thing myself, until I figured out how to use the SEARCH feature listed at the top of the web page. Just type in a keyword (in this case, cartridges) and a list of threads comes up.
