Date: February 20,21 and 22 2009
Scenario: During the winter of 1862-63 Sherman and Grant continued to send troops around the Vicksburg area. During this time Confederate forces continued to fortify the city. Our intention for the weekend is to portray those troops stationed at Vicksburg during February 1863. This will allow participants to do living history on a different area of the park than the June 2007 event and is a Confederate Only Living History.
This will primarily be a static living history and there will be time for many of the participants to tour the park and various museums in town.

Registration: If you do not send in a form, you will not be allowed to participate. Registration fee is $25 and will include rations for the event.

This sounds great Pat, But unfortunatly again this is a event I will be unable to attend due to family illness. Maybe someday I will get to go to Vicksburg without a hitch in my plans... maybe someday( wishing on a falling star)

Hi,

It sounds like a great event, but I do not think that I can talk my parents into driving me to another state for a event. They are already taking me to Louisiana, Georgia, Missouri, Tennessee, Florida, and Arkansas in '09:D. I am not sure if they would be interested in driving me to Mississippi as well.:wink_smil

Ah Christ, I might be able to make it... I mean hell it is my birth month... I might as well celebrate the whole month with WAFFLE SCHNAPPS!!!!!

Sad to say it brother, but this puke is displaced in Indiana... I can not be called a Hoosier, nor would I want to be really.
