Guys,

Many of you know that Tripp and I have put together a Bully Buy on Henry and Spencer Rifles. We will order these on about June 1st with Jim Kindred. If you want to save about $200 on either of these great guns, I will need to get a deposit to put in an escrow account. Henrys need a deposit of $900 and Spencers need a deposit of $1000. The final price of the gun will be determined if you want sling swivels, shipping to you and possible ATF transfer fees. Private message me on the AC if you seriously want to get in on this deal and I'll give you all the details.

Gentlemen,
Just a reminder, June 1st will be here before you know it. If you want to take part in this special purchase you need to get your money to Matt ASAP.

For those whose Henry has not shipped please help me out a bit when contacting me about shipping your rifle.

I need the following:

- A signed copy of the dealer's FFL you would like your rifle shipped to. I must have a hard copy, it does me no good when you email me the FFL number. Also please ask the dealer to put your name on the FFL copy. I receive numerous FFLs during the week and it has been some what of a pain sorting out which FFL goes with which rifle in this deal.

- Please contact me at this email address - milwarehouse@milwarehouse.com I much prefer this over the PM system, in addition it gives me your email address without having to ask for it. Your email address is plugged into the UPS system when your rifle ships which will provide you with an email showing the tracking information.

- When you do contact me be sure to include your phone number. This I put on a note with each rifle to the dealer telling him who to contact when the shipment arrives. I am sure they like me receive multiple shipments each day and having a phone number saves them a bit of a headache.

And to everyone who ordered a Henry I have very enjoyed working with each of you and I hope that you enjoy your rifles.

Please note this sale is closed. Should Matt or the WIG wish to have another Henry buy I will be more than happy to assist.

Here is a quick update on the Spencer Rifles. They are still on back order. The factory is closed in August to give everyone a vacation. Jim Kindred talked with the distributor today and we are still on for a Mid September delivery.

That is all I know for now. As I find out more I will post it.

One addition to Tripp's post. When these things are back in stock don't be caught sitting on the fence trying to decide if you want one or not. These will sell fast and I highly doubt they will have a restock before the Bummers event.

Henry users order your blanks from www.joeswansonsmotionpictureblanks.com.

They are $60 per 100 rounds for brass blanks. Joe is a good guy to work with. Tell him Matt Woodburn sent you.

Joe is a good guy to work with.

Swanson has a top notch reputation for his products.

Gentlemen,
Jim Kindred's distributer has the spencer rifles ready to ship. The problem is he also has other buyers. So we need to get Jim the rest of the money for these weapons today. The total for each gun is $1,150.00. This includes an increase in the overall cost by the manufacturer, shipping and taxes. This money must get to Jim today if you want to get into this batch. Here is a list of folks that order a spencer and put down a deposit along with the amount they have in escrow:

Thad Gallagher $1000.00
Tripp Corbin $961.95
Jason Reinholz $1000.00
Jim Schumann $1001.95
Andy Akeret $1000.00
Terry Hancock $1000.00

So if you want to get in on this batch, you need to contact Jim Kindred today at milwarehouse@milwarehouse.com to arrange to pay the difference via credit card. There will be a 3% credit card processing fee added.

If you can't make a credit card payment today for the remainder, there is still a chance for another batch but there is no guarantee.

To the six men listed in Tripp's post above, I am forwarding your escrow funds to Jim today, unless I hear differently from any of you.

So THAT'S why the Wisconsin guys have been ordering less stuff this year... ;)

On that note, I wanted to mention that I just received my order of blanks from Joe. The transaction was very smooth (although the former head of the Butler County Bar Association next door to my office is probably wondering what I'm going to do with a large box of "cartridges, small arms")

I haven't fired any of the blanks yet, but I did cycle a complete magazine through the rifle and it was smooth sailing. I have every confidence in these blanks, and they look awesome.

On another note, can anyone suggest a practical and correct way to carry these cartridges while in the field? By practical, I mean so that they don't spill out everywhere. That'll get expensive at .60 per round.

Bob,
I can't speak directly toward the Henry Cartridges but the Spencer rounds were issued in small boxes of seven rounds each. These stack in a normal cartridge box so you just grab a box open it and load.

Does anybody have a line on getting the boxes for the Spencers, or an alternate way to make the same?

Thad,
Are you talking the 7 round boxes or a cartrigde box? If you are talking about the 7 round boxes, John Cleaveland had a pattern for those. I will see if I can get the dimensions and post it.

So far the following folks have paid in full for their Spencers:

Tripp Corbin
Terry Hancock
Andy Ackeret

The leaves

Thad Gallagher
Jason Reinholz
Jim Schumann

Please contact Jim Kindred to arrange for final payment ASAP. If you cannot come up with the final $150 please let me know so we are not holding everyone else up waiting.

So what is next after this? Once the weapons have been shipped to Jim Kindred, he will need the address and contact info for a licensed FFL dealer to ship it to. Since these are considered a modern firearm, Federal law prohibits them from be shipped directly to your house.

Jason Reinholz
Jim Schumann

Gentlemen if you can let me know what your plans are ASAP so we can move forward. Please contact me ASAP.

Where are y'all getting the Spencer blanks? Are they plastic or brass and at what price? I'm just about out and it is time to reorder.

Mike,
I had hoped to do some sort of Bummers by for the blanks but frankly I just don have the time to pull it all together. If you want the brass blanks then I would suggest going through Joe Swanson. Matt posted a link for his website a few post back. If you want the plastic blanks those are avaible through the Original Kennesaw Cannon Company. Here is the link to that site http://www.kennesawcannon.com/.

The plastic blanks are the ones the Critters use. I have used them as well. They worked fine for me. I know early batches were too soft and had a big problem ejecting when the weapon got hot. They are of course cheaper than the brass ones.

Thanks! It's tough not having Coley around to "babbysit" us through the "details" anymore.

Gentlemen,
The Spencers have made it to Jim Kindred. He will be contacting those that ordered the Spencers to get the FFL dealer info you want them shipped to if you have not gotten that to him already. This will mark the final step in this Bummers Buy. Thanks to Jim Kindred and the Military Warehouse for helping Matt and I make this Henry and Spencer Bummers Buy a reality. Jim has been very patient with us answering all our questions and offering helpful hints along the way. Thanks Jim!!

I had hoped to put together a bulk buy on blanks for the Spencers. I simply do not have the time with everything else to make this happen. As I posted before there are at least two options for blanks, plastic or brass. It just depends on how much you want to spend. I post links a few post back for the plastic ones. Matt posted one for the brass blanks.

I look forward to seeing everyone at Bummers. Remember the Federals are limited to 40 rounds. Doesn't matter if you have a musket or repeater.

Thanks, Tripp. You guys are more than welcome. If you ever decided to do something like this again just let me know.

I will begin shipping those rifles I have a signed FFL and credit card number for the shipping Tuesday.
