Maryland Guard Battalion 1860-61

I am researching putting together a prewar militia uniform. The unit I am researching is the Maryland Guard Battalion 1860-61. It appears from a hand colored albumen silver print which I have attached that they carried the Model 1855 Type 2. Does anyone know if records survive which could confirm that they were obtained from either Springfield or Harper's Ferry?
