Folks,

We will no longer be able to attend any events for the foreseeable future. With an ever-growing backlog of orders, we have decided that we must be more focused and attentive to our mail order business, and the weeks it takes to build stock for events, and time it takes to travel to and attend them puts us ever behind on orders. Above all we wish to be quality-oriented, and to produce enough stock to regularly attend events would mean farming out major portions of our production, and an inevitable slip in quality.

In the meantime, we suggest our customers looking for us at events check out one of our retailers. They are:

E. J. Thomas (http://www.ejtmercantile.com/index.html)

Regimental Quartermaster (http://www.regtqm.com/)

The Rambling Irishman (http://www.theramblingirishman.com/)

We very much appreciate everyone's understanding. Above all we wish to serve our customers in the best way possible. Should you have any questions concerning events, our products, or anything else we are as always just a phone call or email away!

Best Regards,

unclefrank

Miss seeing you around Dan. Right now I’m just plotting on how to pony up the bucks to have a pair of Confederate trousers made up in that nice sky blue jean cloth you just got in. My wife has threatened my life is she sees anymore uniform items in the closet! :wink_smil

Hey boys,

It was a pleasure shooting at you this year at Retreat From Bentonville; hopefully by
next year you will be some caught up and be able to come and play again. If not, we
will miss you. And I won't be able to do any impulse buying!
Seriously, hope you get caught up soon, so you can enjoy the hobby in the field again.
Nothing like wading an icy river stripped down to the essentials!

James,

I have a feeling that Brian and I will still be toting a musket at a few events from time to time. It's just the time involved with setting up at events that has been killing us the last few years. You've gotta take care of your bread and butter first and if we let the mail order end of things start to slip then it will be really hard to get that reputation back.

I think Dan's announcement means to state that our business will not be set up at events. Don't quote me on that since this is news to me too and I'm only interpreting.

Personally, I am dying to get to more events as a participant and if I can do that I will. My attendance might also mean that some special run items or stock garments I produce could be in tow. Who knows...I just have to find the time to get away from the sewing machine when a good event pops up.

I see that for the second time today my post was minutes late! Curse you, Wanna Be on the August Cover of the AC!

Dan and Brian, I'm glad to hear that you will still attend a few events as men in the ranks. It was great seeing you at RFB in Wisconsin. Hope to see you there next year!
