1. RDII made by ben tart (top stitched and button holed by me). Made of summac cassimere. Jacket has faded a little but still has the gray look. Includes your choice of federal eagle or block I buttons. No trim. Functional Eppaullettes. Collar is topstitched in natural thread and the body is topstitched in logwood thread. Size 46. Will post pictures this evening. Asking $110 ($100 for jacket $10 for shipping). Will take paypal or money order.

2. Peter Tait jacket, size 46. Maker is unknown but was purchased on the forum. The fabric is thought to be made by Charlie Childs and I have been told that if it is then it was before he purchased the finisher (?). The fabric is a blue/gray heavily twilled kersey. The liner is linen. Jacket has Military Warehouse script I buttons. Plain jacket with no eppaulettes and no trim. There are no makers marks but there are some blue spots on the inner sleeve that may have originally been some sort of stamp. Because of my uncertainty, I am selling the jacket for much less than I have in it at $100 shipped.

Can you tell me the sleeve length on your (Peter Tait) Jacket?

Tom,
Glad you asked that question because being short myself I never paid much attention:
Tait Jacket: 23" Sleeve
RD II: 26" Sleeve

This is measured from the shoulder seam to the cuff on the outside of the arm.

Tait jacket reduced to $90 PPD. Will also trade for a blanket US/CS/Civi...not particular as long as it is long enough to make a bed roll.

RDII went out in the mail yesterday. I have one on the waiting list so if for some reason he is not happy with it I will let you know.
Tait still available. Reduced to $80 PPD. Can't go lower than this. Still interested in a trade for a blanket and will also consider a trade for a federal fatigue blouse.

RDII arrived today - WOW the U.S. is an advanced nation! This is the first time ever that I have received a vacuum packed jacket!

I'll be keeping it Luke - fits like it was made for me! :wink_smil

Well, I had to try to water proof it since it was going to be crossing the ocean! LOL!

I'm glad you like it and I hope you get plenty of use from it!

Both jackets have been sold, paid, delivered and received.
