This is for you buglers out there
I'm working on bugle calls almost drilled the Battalion at Mansfield with them except the mouthpiece that I had fell off somewhere on the field we were drilling and I was unable to find it.
Any suggestions where I can find a period correct one to replace it?
Thanks

I don't know where you could find one, but I can't say we were sorry you lost it. :D :wink_smil

Frank;

first of all don't listen to them Damn Rebs! You just keep on blowing on that thing until you get it right, or until you get shot. Second I just saw a "Alleged" Civil War bugle mouthpiece on the Stones River Trading Company website for I think 45.00. You can find their site under Civil War Dealers.com. Hope that helps.

Frank,
You might even want to get on ebay and look for parts. I looked through it and there were some period coronets and trumpets going for reasonable prices.
