Hello,
Jersey Skillet Licker has a very good authentic looking brogan for sale. Its a very good contract version that has the right construction and looks. The price is right, feels good on, and its in stock for immediate shipping with out any waiting period. I wore my right out of the box new and they felt like I had a pair of slippers on. I have had a pair from all the makers and these I felt were the best.

You could also contact Tom Mattimore (look up his info in the Members section) http://www.authentic-campaigner.com/forum/showgroups.php?
Or Bob Serio at http://missouribootandshoe.com/index.asp

If you don't mind waiting about 3 months, I would go with Bob Serio of Mo. Boot and Shoe. For $125 he will make a pair of shoes to fit your feet and will be more than happy to tell you anything you need to know. REGARDLESS OF WHO YOU BUY FROM DON'T FORGET TO BUY PROPER SHOE CARE PRODUCTS!!! Think of this as an investment, your boots should last for many years and many marches if cared for properly.

Sorry Paul, Im not poking fun at you, but there is probably allot of guys on this board that find that as funny as I do. Back before the internet, it used to take over a year to get things from most vendors.

I agree. I had waiting most than one year for having a ************ knapsack and several months for «*Missouri Boots*» shoes but when they were at home I was very happy with them. Fabulous work and it worth the time to have them !
Buy where is the best and don’t worry about the delay.

I needed new brogans this year and was told by a well know vendor to contact MJN Boot & Leather Shop in Tea, South Dakota. It's a one man operation owned by Mick Nesseim. After contacting him and receiving his catalog it was a 7 month waiting list. Although his product looked very good I decided to to go with Missouri Boot & Shoe and got them made in about 5 weeks and they fit like a glove. MJN website is: www.mjnboot.com if you want to check another quality shoemaker out.

You really can't go wrong with any of the footwear vendors mentioned. They all seem to have their faithful following. Although I have no experience with any of the other vendors, I must second the suggestion of Mick Nesseim of MJN. I have a VERY narrow foot that makes it difficult for me to comfortably wear shoes of any type. After sending Mr. Nesseim my foot tracings and measurements, I received back a bootee that fits me like a glove and looks darn good too. Apparently I maxed out his narrow size limit, but I am extremely pleased with them. His waiting list may be long when compared to his competitors, but it is worth the wait.
Robert, I agree, 3 months is almost warp speed, even now. Waited about 8 months for my bootees, and about a year for a frock.....but they are both worth every last second. ;)
