Child's Boone Frock Pattern

Can anyone tell me where I can find a pattern for a boone frock?

A young couple with a Daughter about to walk needs to make boone frocks for her daughter but has been unable to fine a pattern.

a quick search and I seem to be finding problems also, Can anyone advise me?

Okay, second go is a charm. LOL Lost the first reply to the aether.

The Boone Frock is but one option for toddlers. It doesn't work well for cool weather, but is nice in the summer, and makes up pretty quickly. There are other options available from different publishers.

The Boone is published by Period Impressions, so any merchant selling this line will likely have it. I found it pretty easily at http://www.honesttomssutlery.com/toddler.htm Haven't done business with him... it's just one of the first to pull up.

Period Impressions are not my favorite pattern line in general. You'll have more options if you choose something from Karen Crocker's For the Little Ones at Home line, which you can find at Mrs. Christen's Miscellania: http://home.earthlink.net/~gchristen/Ftlo.html I find the research is better with this line, personally.

Besides a few dresses, the young baby in question will need undergarments and protective garments, as well as a light jacket or jumper as we head into fall. The nice thing is, at the early walker stage, shoes are possibly the easiest to find for all of childhood. Look for something in leather, either a Mary Jane or an ankle boot, with the soft leather sole, and you're in quite good shape. For stockings, regular old cotton knee sockies work well--just don't roll or fold them around the ankle.

You should also check into Mrs. Clarks website at www.elizabethstewartclark.com. She also sells patterns for any little bit of children's clothing you will need from undergarments to coats and shoes. I know several ladies (one of them not a sewer) that have used the patterns and they were all amazed at how easy they were to use. The end result is wonderful looking and comfortable children.

I did check her site out and infact tried to send a reply to that effect but it apparently did not post. Her patterns look quite nice, and it is good to know they are easy, because the mom who needs the pattern is not a sewer either.
