If you've surfed around here much over the last 24 hours, you've probably noticed some Ad Banners embedded in the pages. Don't worry, pop-ups aren't in the plans.

The banners we are placing are a combination of our Approved Vendors and a few Preservation organizations. We may add a couple event banners down the road but right now the focus is authentic vendors and preservation.

We hope to keep the banners fresh and rotating. This is something I promised our supporting vendors months ago and am glad to be able to offer it to them in appreciation of all the support they've given the AC over the past few weeks, months and in some cases .. years.

And no, there's no way for you to turn the banners off, although we may try to tighten up the placement a bit to minimize wasted screen space.

Enjoy the banners, I'm sure we'll see some real attention getters down the road... and please do click'em!

Folks,
Let's remember it is in large part because of the support of these vendors that we get to enjoy this Forum for free. We need to try and support them.

The banners aren't those flashing, "Smack the monkey" type seen elsewhere and even pertain to US and the AC site. I'd say they're an example of how to do banner ads right. (please do stay away from the flashing, moving, annoying ones)

Sirs,
The banners are excellent. They give me an AC approved way to spend my wife's money!! They really are great.

Bravo
