Ran across this site during a web search. Trying to fins a small tin coffe pot.

Look under coffee pots, CK-5, the 4 cup.
If this is a bad idea, who has a recommendation for a maker/vendor?
Thanks

Ben,
Rick Bailey (a member on this forum) carries tinware made by Pat Cunningham who is by far one of the most talented makers I have ever seen, and his prices are right with that place, whom I have never heard of and judging from the pictures, can see why.
Another choice would be Chris Utley at Carter and Jasper Sutlery. Great stuff, and I believe he has two styles to choose from. Either of those will give you much better products at around the same price.

Ben,
I'm with Landrum here. Rick might just have a few things at Perryville we can line you up with.

Going along with what's been said already...there are a few good sources of tin out there that are "locals" to this forum. One thing that I might give you a bit of advice on is to be sure that you get a small coffee pot that is made for what you're going to be using it for. If you're going to be using it on a stove, then a pot made for a stove would suffice. If you're going to be using it on a fire as most of us do, then look for one made for a fire, i.e. with rivets and strengthened attachments rather than lightly attached pieces. I just visited the Arabia museum last weekend and many of their really interesting tin pieces are made for a stove and not the fire. Not an endorsement of my wares over another, as I carry both types.

Greetings,
I have done some business with this Gentleman, and his items are very well made. I would buy again from him, and plan to do so.

Out here in CA, I saw some of this fellow's work, sold by a vendor here, however, was unaware of it until now. I like his coffeepot very much as it looks like a few of the originals that I have hanging in my kitchen. His work looks good and is affordable :D In fact, the only thing that I didn't like was that horrid noisy music played as the site loads.....music on websites, yick. I wish that web builders would learn that trick has become more of a nuisance than a novelty.
