Comrades:
Would you like to be on the October 2006 "cover" of the Authentic Campaigner? We are looking for images that best-exemplify the look of the authentic living historian. Images taken with period technology only, please. (wet plate, etc.) are required. Both citizen and military images are welcome.
Submission Guidelines:
1) We will accept the first ten image submissions only. Once we have ten images, the high privates will select the final three. The final three will go out for a vote to the membership of the forum and you can vote for your favorite. The poll will be locked after a pre-determined number of days established when the poll is released. The winning image will be placed on the front "cover" of the web site.
2) If you aren't able to get your image into the first vote, you are more than welcome to re-submit it for the next cover. We will be changing them approximately every month.
3) Make sure and attach the photo to your post. If necessary, we will crop the photo for the best fit.
5) The Moderators/Administrators reserve the right to remove any submittals that they feel don't meet the standards of the Authentic Campaigner.

This image was taken three years ago by Ray Morgenweck at a small event in PA. It was attemp by the musicians to replicate a "hokey" camp scene overstuffed with articles and debris. It was cracked an faded during the development stage.

Well I was trying to post one, but the image won't load for some reason. Oh well, I was voting for Cross anyway.

I'd have to say that this is the best, but LT. Cross is great as well.

What the heck, I'll put this one out for consideration. It's a picture of me and my son taken at Manassas (Cedar Creek) earlier this year. I'll include the original scan plus one that I lightened up. Wet plate ambrotype.

Thanks for all of your submissions. Since I am late in posting this and given the fact that we are able to do this again, , I will go ahead and forward the twelve images to the high privates who will select the final three for a general vote.
Thanks again everyone. This poll is officially closed.
