Dope ?

I have a sutler row painted poncho on which the 3/4" edging and grommet squares are coming loose. I'm thinking about stitching the whole edge, but would like to find a correct " DOPE" to use either singly or as a complement to .

Rubber cement-aka contact cement.

I guess I was thinking way too much. Simpler is better.

I have learned quickly in my short tenure of the wonders of the elusive search button.

Several threads address this sticky issue. It would appear that contact cement is not the best thing to use.
