Has anyone found or posted an event site map for P'Ville? I have interests in both the military and civilian settings and am curious as to the realtionship of parking and camp locations and such for logistics purposes.
Thanks
Patrick

Patrick,

Those are buried deep within the event site, here:

Map 2 contains an eensy triangle that is the Civilian Living History Area. Its my understanding that we are then routed to US parking. There is horse trailer parking shown there on Map 3, as well as another horse trailer parking lot.

Given when y'all are coming in--my recommendation is for y'all to park the trailer, ride the horses over to the livery ( in the LH area), and then get our handcart for any additional gear you have to bring in. The bulk of your crowd will be camping just behind our Tavern, except when you ride off to Jine the Cavalry.

The actual registration and Coggins papers inspections seems to be in downtown Perryville, then its a few miles out to the battlefield. Cell signal is very poor in this area--don't count on trying to find us that way, use the maps.

I'm not sure if this helps, but this is the map they sent out to the sutlers:

This map looks to me like the typical bungling that has plagued the last 2 NSA events that I've attended. Namely, Franklin and Corinth. I think BOHICA is definitely appropriate.

Speaking of weather, Saturday when we were working on the living history camp was wonderfully wet and cold.

Here is an update for those of you camping in the authentic living history site. Summer kitchen #1 is up and running. There is a small fire pit for the laundry. A larger one for cooking and a brick bake oven built along with the wooden structure for preparation. Summer kitchen #2 has a fire ring and structure will be raised about mid-week.

The livery is finished. It's a fine building.

Ezra Barnhouse's store is up along with the front for the residence next door.

Looking forward to seeing all in Perryville.

Kind regards,
Emily Burns
