View Full Version : ACPP - Remember me?

Hey all,

I had hoped that the internet gods were going to be with us in the last few weeks, but that doesn't seem like it will ever happen, so I'm going to start from scratch.

This year's fund raising recipients are the CWPT and Beauvoir. After Hurricane Katrina, many expressed interest in raising money for the last house of President Jefferson Davis.

To date, the ACPP has only received $140 for Beauvoir!

The CWPT has faired better, with $1,294.63 in donations to date. At the current rate, this will be the lowest year of donations in the short 3 year history of the ACPP.

Now, I know this has been a tough year, with gas prices here in DC exceeding $3.00 this summer. And there have been other causes to give to like Rich Mountain. But gas is now back to a reasonable level ($2.19 today here) and the year is running out of weeks. With a concerted effort, the membership can show the folks at Beauvoir that their efforts are appreciated. One look at the pictures on this site http://www.albertassociates.com/slideshow-1.html should move you to give what you can.

Even if it is not through the ACPP, Beauvoir still needs our help.

As always, you can send a check made out to "Beauvoir Relief Fund" to me at:

Mike "Dusty" Chapman
5734 N. 15th Street
Arlington, VA 22205

or

Paypal at dustyswb@comcast.net

Please give if you can. All amounts are welcome. We should be able to raise $500 by the end of this month.

Dusty,

I know I sent a donation before, but I just sent another. I know we can make 500.00 by the years end.

Cheers

Dusty:

I'm sorry to have to say that I only was able to collect $60.00 on my hankie project but have sent to you via Pay Pal.

If anyone is still interested I handstich large hankies out of homespun and give them for a $5.00 donation, I provide materials and pay postage. If anyone is still interested in this worthy cause please contact me at augustacarr@aol.com.

I just heard from Dusty and for those who would like to do this you may send me your order and send the payment to Dusty via Pay Pal. He states to just advise him that the money is for Barbara Hartman's hankie projext to benefit Beauvoir. His address is dustyswb@comcast.net.

I hope this will make folks more comfortable knowing the money is going directly to the source.

Warm regards,

Well, we fell a little short in October (by $70), but we raised $290. Thanks to all who helped out.

Still taking money for CWPT and Beauvoir.
