I'm looking for a quality straight razor to add to my impression and I'm in need of a pair of wool and cotton socks. Where is the best place to get these items?

Don't have a good source for a straight razor, but one for great information:
The ever-resourceful Terrie Lawson on this list has top-notch socks.

Check out your local antique store, and try to find one there. I picked up a period razor at an antique store near me, and I'm very happy with my find.

Keith Bartsch wrote a great article about straight razors a while ago. I hope it hasn't been lost to the ages and crashes.
Here is a site that explains sharpening your razor.
Please be careful if you're planning to actually use an antique razor. It's hard to know where it's been. :wink_smil
Shaving can add a fascinating aspect to an impression.

I too have been looking for a straight razor. A tip that was given to me by a pard:
When buying one, make sure the blade is completely rust free. Rust is supposedly impossible to get off the blade.
If you get impatient, well head over to http://www.ezrabarnhousegoods.com/
They are an approved vendor on the AC.
