Seems to me that Marse Craddock's company is a bit heavy with Texians and Louisiana fellows. Is Mississippi prepared for that? I think historically, folks from those two states had a reputation as an undisciplined lot, but that might just be some eastern fellows interpretation. Should be fun.

I must add, that the above statement rearding the reputation of Texas and Lousiana troops, is made in jest, and as we all know, they had been well tamed or killed by 1863 and were noted for the ferocity of their fighting ability. Again, it should be an interesting company.

Gents,
How about an accounting of the federal boys? Who's signed up, so far? Less than 9 weeks to get in shape...

Federal Registration is a long way off from being posted. Anyone with questions can private message me. Early Registration closes is roughly 3 months.

Kiev,
Looking forward to it. Now you know you will have to come for a visit and we won't tell anyone you were associating with the likes of us. However, from what I've observed, Georgia fellows ain't exactly paper collar soldiers either.

Some of us veterans of Port Gibson may steal away in the dark of night, particularly if it's raining heavily, and drive down south a bit to see if we can't hole up under the overhang of the topless club as we did a few years back.

I am looking forward to this one. Really no sense in every place in the ranks not being full, blue or grey.

Sending in my registration for Corbins company. It'd be nice to see how things are done out west being an eastern reenactor since '89. Now to read up on the western theater...
