I am searching for more information or trivia about Andrews Raiders. We have done exaustive research from all availible sources. But in order to make a film about this that is accurate and entertaining for all, we are trying to cover all bases. We also need two technical advisors, one for artillery, and one for cadre. All the posititions are Paid jobs, this will be a SAG Independant Film. I feel sure we can get accurate information from this site. Thanks. I hope this is the right forum.

If you are referring to the The Great Locomotive Chase, exactly what kind of extra information do you need? I think William Pittenger's book "Daring and Suffering" pretty much summed up the details of the event, even if it was from the Northern perspective. I am not aware of any Southern version of the events. Have you checked the museum in Kennesaw, GA?

Not wanting to sound like a "wise-acre".

There is also some information and questions answered by David over on Szabo's forum. I for one am also skeptical about these things but David has been rather forthcoming in personal correspondences with me so far so at this point I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. I look forward to hearing more and may "belly up to the bar" once I learn more about the film. I am from the Kennesaw area and have always had a soft spot for this piece of Civil War history.

Ditto on the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History in Kennesaw, GA. Since it is the repository of the original "General", it has as much info, pictures, medal citations, etc, as anywhere.

I recently heard that the Atlanta History Center had some kind of agreement pending with the Atlanta Cyclorama regarding resource material. As the Cyclorama has the Texas on display you may want to check with these two places.
