Gentlemen,
I will have the honor to serve as the Orderly Sergeant for Company A of the 157th New York during this event. It looks like we will have a great company made up of men from all over the United States. I am looking forward to serving with each and every one of you.

I thought I would pass along some information concerning our company for this event. It looks like we will have a company of just over 40 men including officers and NCOs. James Miller and Joe Blunt will be serving as the other two Sergeants with our company. We will have four corporals which Capt Craddock and I are in the process of appointing. We will be using Casey’s as our drill manual. I also recommend everyone brush up on their Guard Mount procedures. Lastly, I need the following folks to contact me either via email or PM, Bruce McDonald with the SRR, Tom Craig with the Columbia Rifles and Evan Zimmerman.

I am looking forward to work with everyone of you in Co. A of the 157th New York. I know this will be a great event. If anyone has any questions please feel free to contact me.

Gentlemen,
The event is less than a week away. Now is the time to start making those final preparations. For many this is the first event of the new year, that generally means your gear has been siting in some place with little attention. Remember this is a garrison event, you gear should look like you have made at least some attempt to clean it. You all know the drill.

I hope everyone will also make some attempt to read the information posted by Eric Tipton as well as Immortal Captives. These are two great sources of information. We will be maintaining first person as much as possible through out the event. Having done this event twice in the past, I can say it is a much more memorable exprience if everyone does this.

I look forward to seeing everyone at the event. I will be arriving on site sometime arround 5 and 6 pm.
