  4. U.S. vs. Colin McRae

    From the Galveston Daily News - May 8, 1869, Page 2. See attached. The U.S., as financial successor to the Confederacy, tried to sue McRae in an English court for benefit of money or goods received on behalf of the C.S. They failed to prove their case.
