    Looking for a Primary Resource

Does anyone know if the proceedings of the United State Joint Committee on the Conduct of the War are available in any form? I have found some extracts on line but they don't cover the particulars I am looking for and I have found nothing in published form that is currently for sale but that doesn't mean it's not out there.

Doing research at Wallace State College, in Hanceville, ALA, earlier this week, and they have a bound set there. You might want to contact them.

Interlibrary loan is the way to go, but if I'm not mistaken, the series being published in the 1990s (and maybe continuing today) by Broadfoot Publishing, called the "Supplement to the Official Records", included--I believe, the proceedings of the committee on the conduct of the war.

I had the same problem a few months ago when writing a research paper. I had a citation of a session of congress that brough up the conduct of the war and to it to the Main Branch of the Cincinnati Public library but they couldn't do anything with it unfortunatly.

Broadfoot has the set (9 vols.) & a short summary at http://www.broadfootpublishing.com/B..._COMMITTEE.htm. I am 99% sure the Supplement to the Official Records does not include the Report of the Joint Committee On the Conduct of the War. Most major libraries will have a copy.
