    1842 Springfield F/S

The complete defarb on this musket was done by James River and this is one sweet musket. It is marked Harpers Ferry 1853 on the lockplate. 1853 is also stamped on the tang and correct proof marks on the barrel. The front site has been replaced with the correct brass sight The stock has been reshaped, inspectors marks added and is as nice as they can be found. It has always been lightly hand rubbed with linseed oil and is a rich even dark brown. I have only used this musket 3 times so the condition is new. I have the correct Italian made bayonet marked U.S. included with the musket. Please email me with any questions. $675 shipped
