Lots of Confederate clothing and gear FS!

I've decided that I知 going to do Federal impressions only from now on, so I知 selling off my CS stuff. With the exception of the waist belt and felt hat I made all these items with all visible stitching done by hand. Feel free to ask questions on the items. I also have extra pictures if needed. please E-MAIL me at southernbredson(at)hotmail(dot)com

    1) RDII made from Ben Tarts "mark up kit" with his bark jean, and cotton lining. 9 NC state buttons down the front, two smaller plain domed ones on the shoulders, belt loops, and a interior pocket. Sewn with logwood thread. Size 44, used at about 4 events so it has some stains in the lining. Lots of life left in it! $95

    2) Fur felt "Gettysburg" style hat from Clear Water Hat Co. Brown in color, leather sweat band(has minor stains on it) used twice, size 7 1/2. Excellent hat! $70

    3) Kepi made from Tarts Blue gray kersey, lined with natural linen, sweat band is natural pig skin, iron dyed un bound leather front, and a non-functioning oil cloth chin strap held on with two small, plain domed brass buttons. Never used size 6 7/8 $45

    4) A beautiful Confederate frock coat. Made from W&W Co. Asheville gray jean fully lined with a gold and blue paisley, 9 script I buttons down the front, 2 in the back and 2 small brass domed buttons on the scallops. Sleeves lined in a good W&W Co. Cotton, VERY nice box quilted breast with cotton batting and canvas inside to give shape per the original. Two functioning tail pockets(will throw in a scrap of the lining if you want to make a pocket on the chest. Pieced skirts and internal button placket. Stiffened standing collar, wide elbows, and has no cuffs . I spent nearly 3 solid days on the quilting and the button holes. Everything is stitched with good natural linen thread in even and consistent stitches. There are hundreds of stitches that are not visible due to the amount of basting I did while installing the lining, I stuck to traditional 19th century tailoring techniques during its construction. This frock was a bear to make but I知 very pleased with it. Has Never been used other than trying it on. Size 44. $420

    5) Black leather roller belt, bought off this forum a year ago. About a size 40 waist, good quality, good stitching. Lots of life left in it! $25

    6) Bright blue, linen lined confederate trousers made from a Ben Tart mark up kit. Sewn with good cotton thread, no visible machine sewing on the inside waist and just one little run of visible machine stitching on the fly outside. blackened tin buttons, rounded "mule ear pocket flaps" that are buttoned down. Never used size 40. $100

    7) Confederate issue shirt made from a W&W Co. kit. All visible sewing is done by hand with backstitches and whip stitches. 4 bone buttons, 2 pockets at the chest. Its been used once so It has a little rust stain on the bottom where it probably laid next to my bayonet at the event. I wear a chest size 44 and its fits good with extra room. $70

    8) Natural linen Moses Alexander haversack. Completely hand sewn, with a mother of pearl button. A little stained and dirty after a few events. No rips or tears lots of life left! $25

Also i'm in need of some items if a trade would work better for you. 4.5 yards of Sky Blue kersey so I can make a great coat. A Federal double bag knapsack(of a good maker) or any good quality federal leathers. Just to throw out some other options.

*Correction* W&W Co. did not make the CS frock I have listed. I only bought fabric from them making it myself. I worded that badly, sorry for the confusion!
