This program is geared toward the Junior Ranger program that the NPS is putting on around the country.This is a one day (Saturday)program at the park. Saturday night we will move unto private property. Trial Ride to Fort Henry has been canceled due to LBL being closed to ice storm damage. An alternative site for Sunday has been chosen and details are being worked out . Drill and riding near Forrest's break out from Donelson is in the works.

Fort Donelson event update

Saturday program is going as planned . Saturday evening camp site has been secured near 6,ooo acres for drill and ride on Sunday. Several miles of trail and part of trail over looks town of Dover.

Hey Fellas,
Thanks for taking your time this weekend to help with the program at Fort Donelson weekend. The National Park Service was very happy with how well each of you performed this weekend . They only had positive comments to say. Ronnie Tucker, Mark Choate, Kerry Gallivan, John Walsh, Scott Little, Anthony____ and Jeff Williams are the first individuals to ride horses on Fort Donelson in 10-15 years . Because of yall the future of mounted activities at the park is looking very bright. Thank you again for choosing to support the park on such a great weekend.

Thank you for inviting us and for organizing the whole event. Ft. Donelson was such a significant battle of the war and to get to ride and give demonstrations at this site was truly a treat. Lots of good saddle time, too and as always, a treat to work with you fellas.
