    Re: Missouri Boot & Shoe

Two years ago I purchased a .69 Caliber Cartridge Box from Missouri Boot and Shoe. It is of the highest quality. I cannot say enough about this vendor; great to deal with!

Bob's attentiveness & expert knowledge was superb as well as his enthusiasm for getting it right. Our orders arrived promptly and we have been very happy with his product. One of my pards picked up Serio's haversack and it is stoutly-made.
This is the route I took as well. I wanted early war generic traps to use as a basis for both my Federal and Confederate impressions by just adding or deleting the box/belt plates and swapping waist belts (snake belt for CS). I also added a 2 rivet scabbard and the fit is nothing less than superb on my original bayonet.

I also purchased the HW Haversack and am quite happy with it. As with most of MB&S products, when you compare construction, material and cost, it is probably one of the best buys out there.

I just wish Bob would make British/Enfield leathers,

You can always find someone to repaint them with the period recipe. I have done several for my mess and friends in the hobby.

But while a we are talking satisfaction........ just another thumbs up for an incredible vendor. Coming from a gear whore, a majority of my stuff probablyf comes from Serio and lads. It has almost become a joke when I talk to Bob that I am working to complete my collection of everything in his catalog, (and then some.) This includes no less than 3 sets of footware. For events like BGR, Pickett's Mill, Marmy's and Piney Woods, these footwear make all the difference.
