FS PH P53 Enfield rifle musket

    For sale:

British-made Parker Hale P53 Enfield Rifle Musket. In VG condition. No pits or large gouges. Used but not abused. Bore is in great shape. Urethane is worn off in some places and it has a few normal use dings here and there. This musket will be unbelievably cool and authentic if you send it down to Todd Watts. I had originally planned to have him make it into a CS Enfield but I have too many Enfields already.

I will accept check, money order, Paypal, or direct Visa or Mastercard payments through my business.

    Price is $750.00 postage paid.

Feel free to ask questions. Musket does include the farby sling.

    Jim,

I would agree with you normally, but I received a P58 in the mail two days ago, the same day sent an AS Enfield off to Bob Hoyt for re barreling, and I have a Todd Watts S. H. & G. Parker Hale on the wall as well as a Zimmerman defarbed Euroarms. I definitely can afford to let this one go!

Those early PH Enfields are a near-ideal choice for defarbing to a Type IV L.A.C. Barrel bands, lock screw escucheons, and the rear sling swivel are all correct "as is". Its really about defarbing the lock, barrel markings, and removing modern marks and finishes from wood/metal and redoing them in a period correct fashion.

So many folks go for repops of Birmingham guns that the London arms are under-represented... yet they (LAC muskets, that is) require less effort to produce a more faithful reproduction (though not perfect... NONE of them are) of the original.

    Friendly bump to the top.

I'm not going to post a discounted price, but I am certainly willing to hear offers and work out a deal.

    Dan,
You may want to run this on the N-SSA BB as well, cheap to list and to "them" the PH is a shooter, no real need to de-farb.

The PHs are becoming increasing rare, obviously since they have not been made since 1990. Getting one for about any price
is a steal, and well worth using for an ultimate Todd Watts defarb project. Somebody jump on this before I do something foolish...
