    Re: National Event- Shiloh

Any ideas on field music for this event?I know it is great to have all campaigners in the same group, but if there were to be a period correct field music fulfilling the duties of the music. Would this not add to the authenticity we are striving for? I know the rations, longer marches, and guard duty add a lot to it, but wouldn't the full effect add even more? Any thoughts ideas?

    Hey Rod,
I'm in the process of filling out an information packet for the company commanders with all that information. The website for the event should be up in the next few weeks.

This is a quick post to express my interest in participating with the Confederate authentic effort at Shiloh. I have not been active in the hobby in 5 years or so, but would like to become more involved.

Joe, good to talk to you the other day. The Johnny effort that Pat and company are putting on will suit you just fine. You'll probably have some familiar faces with you in this effort too.

Just a note to say that myself and about 4 like-minded pards are very interested in falling in with y'all at this event, if you'll have us. It sounds like a hoot.

2 rifles from Arizona, 3 from New Mexico.

None of us are very bright but we don't talk much and only complain when the officers ain't around.

Those of you doing CS; please consider Rod Miller's company. We're putting one together for this event and welcome those who might be interested.

Thank you Mrs Lawson, Mark Choate of the 7th Tenn Cav has replied, and offered me to ride with them (I joined them earlier); but if I can be used in any other capacity (light farriering included), please feel free to drop me in there.
