Partially de-farbed Armisport P1853 Enfield. Has Birmingham Small Arms Trading mark in butt, proper stamps on barrel applied by Lodgewood. Barrel-bluing applied by Lodgewood is beginning to rub off. Barrel bands are cold-rust-blued. Has proper square-headed washers in side plate. Lockplate is Armisport. Stock has been thinned down. Used but not abused, comes with sling. Original Enfield bayonet. This has the same styling as a standard P53 bayonet, but the socket is for a .69 cal barrel. Carries British inspectors marks, so is a legit period piece. Seventeen inch blade, twenty-one inches overall. Asking $85 plus shipping.
One original P1856 Sword Bayonet, for the two-banded Enfield rifle. This is not one of the German-manufactured bayonets meant for the volunteer rifles. Maker's/Inspector's mark visible in the close-up of the grip. twenty-three inch blade, twenty eight inches overall. Comes with scabbard, which is missing the drag. Leather is stable, with no flaking except a few patches near the tip, and very little color loss. Stitching is tight. Blade has a few specks of pitting and some small peppery patches. Grips are solid. Purchased from the Wild Man of Kennesaw nearly 20 years ago. Additional photos available on request. Asking $250 plus shipping.
