In the old days when Tim started his business we who bought from him didn't mind waiting because we knew we would have a good product in the end. When you think about it 2 months isn't alot to wait....at all. I have waited YEARS for good gear before.

Today, way way too many 'authentics' are spoiled by "In Stock" vendors, middlemen and the like. Unfortunately the "McDonalds" theory of economics has collided w/ the boutique cottage industry of good vendors with horrible results and expectations...

Have some patience and WAIT. 4 wks, 6 wks, 8 wks, 12 wks. It doesn't matter...

Performing a search using "Tim Allen", will yield the desired results.....it is amazing how useful that search function can be.

I ordered a hat from Tim Allen, sent payment on the 19th of April and received the final product today (28 Apr 04). Based on either 4-6 weeks or 6-8 weeks as you quoted from the web and a brochure, I'd say neither is correct. I'd be inclined to say less than 2 weeks... Then again, I hit him up just as soon as he went public with his new website, so perhaps since this time he has received a lot more business...

Nice man to deal with, give him a call!

    Re: Tim Allen

I second what Ryan says..long ago (its seems) obtaining quality reproductions and long waits went hand in hand..those reproducing such items did so on a part time bases. I recall Mr.Bender stating he has a REAL job and makes his hats in the eveings. His attention to detail and putting fewer hats out also means better quality for all who orders from him. The wait is nothing...I am sure to say if Tim were to jump on the bandwagon and peddle his wares through a middle man, the qualtiy of his hats would drop too.

The moral of this story is.. "WAIT AND YOU TOO SHALL BE REWARDED"
