    Quality Items For Sale

    Friends,

Another sale of items that did not move the last time and one new addition. Additional photos to be posted tomorrow. Please read the item descriptions carefully and do not hesitate to ask for detailed photographs or further descriptions. Payment via PayPal is strongly preferred but of course I will accept checks or money orders. Please contact me at floatingeyeofdeath@netzero.net if you are interested in anything. First come, first served.

1.) Steubenville (Ohio) Fatigue Blouse. Made by Dan Wambaugh using quality dark blue wool flannel. Unlined in the body but lined in the sleeves with muslin as per the original. Machine-sewing and hand-sewing done in logwood dyed thread. All interior body seams are hand-felled. Rounded exterior pocket. Size 42" chest. A beautiful jacket that was only worn twice. Asking $200 shipped.

2.) “Trans-Mississippi” Depot Jacket. Made by myself using hand-woven slub cotton jean and lined with heavy osnaburg. Four-piece body and one-piece sleeves with an interior pocket sewn into the front facing and hem. Entirely machine-sewn except for the buttonholes and sleeve linings. Based somewhat on the “Louisiana” jacket from the Troiani collection but there are some differences. This one has a lower front that dips down rather than cuts across straight, and the jacket is not machine chain-stitched and the body seams are not machine felled. Still a perfectly good “deep south” jacket. Comes with stamped brass block “I” buttons. Will fit someone with a 44” chest and 38” waist. Asking $180 shipped.

3.) Federal "McDowell" Forage Cap. Made by Mike Stiles of Superior Cap Company. Dark blue broadcloth cap body with a lining of black vintage silk. Red sweatband with the proper cross-hatch emboss and properly glazed chinstrap and visor. Original Fed. staff officer buttons. Will fit a size 7 1/2 head perfectly. Shows some light use but otherwise brand new. Asking $90 shipped.

4.) Federal Issue Shirt, Gray. Made by myself to the “quartermaster” pattern. Completely hand-sewn with natural cotton thread. Will fit a 42” chest and has a 17.25” neck. Brand new, unworn, but there is a minor repair at the left sleeve gusset where I took too small of a seam allowance and some pulling occurred. Collar is too tight for me and I want to make a new one rather than modify this one to fit. This is the model shirt I made for our new gray issue shirt kits. Asking $130 shipped.

5.) Federal Issue Drawers, Alvin Rose contract. Made by myself using light weight canton flannel. Completely hand-sewn with natural thread as per the original. Marked with a variant Rose stamp and size bars on the waistband. Will fit a size 38" waist. Brand new, never worn except to try on over boxer shorts. Asking $95 shipped.

6.) CS Trousers Kit. Cut from Family Heirloom Weavers dark blue on natural wool/cotton jean with cotton sheeting facings/pocketing. I have already started on the pockets and have some other parts pressed, pinned, or sewed by hand. Comes with turned wood buttons. NO INSTRUCTIONS OR THREAD. Size 37" waist. Asking $70 shipped.

    Re: Quality Items For Sale

Updated the Federal shirt description to reflect a larger neck size. It measures 17.25" instead of 16" as previously described.
