Trousers: Size 34, reproduced from the trousers of William A. Anderson on display at the Lee Chapel, Washington & Lee University, Lexington, VA by Eileen Herr. Grey satinette on brown warp. The only pockets are two welt pockets at the waist. There is a stripe of black cotton, about 1.25" wide sewn into the side seam, then sewn down with two parallel lines of machine stitching (per the originals). The bottom hem is about 5" wide sewn with 5 parallel lines of machine stitching (per the originals). There is no waist band. Button holes are hand sewn and expertly done. $180
Overshirt: Size 44 (approximate... made to fit over a shirt on me and I am a 42). All hand made by me from Cassimere (dark blue/gray wool with a white cotton warp) buttonholes sewn using logwood dyed linen thread. Trimmed in black mohair braid. Two front patch pockets decorated with two buttons. Buttons are Virginia seal. $100
Both items have been worn to two or three events and show dirt but are in excellent condition. I am in need of a Federal overcoat and would consider working out a trade deal for a first-rate overcoat (Daley, Childs, Herr, or equivalent quality).
