Steamboat Arabia Leader Killed in Vehicle Accident

Greg Hawley from the Steamboat Arabia Museum was killed in a vehicle accident Saturday. Further information may be found at http://www.kansascity.com/115/story/976170.html

How Horrible!! I was able to meet him on my one-and-only visit to the museum a few years ago. He was a very nice fellow and very patient with my questions. That museum is a national treasure that we'd not have if not for Greg Hawley and his family!!

That is heartbreaking! I was privileged to visit the museum last year, and I wholeheartedly agree with Mr. Wickett's comment above, it is indeed a national treasure. What terribly sad news this is!

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. My deepest condolences to them.
