  • North Carolina British Import Buttons

Does anyone have any documented information on North Carolina importing British buttons? I have been through agent John White's documents but cannot find anything on buttons. I have seen one quote on the AC stating " The state brought in 864 gross of buttons in June and August of 1863, aboard the blockade runner Advance". Does anyone have any information on this statement, or any information on the amount of buttons imported by the State?

    Regards,
