  • Best use of cap brass yet!

From eBay. This guy must have been a good cook or at least very proud of his work. I flipped the image to "right read" for easier reading of his impressive forage cap.

It reminds me of that Steven Segal flick where he is in the navy and the ship he's on is hijacked and the crew held hostage by terrorists. Segal plays a busted SEAL that serves as a cook on board. As he is kicking ass and taking names the terrorists ask ..."who is this guy?" His response is..."I'm just the cook"

Ha Dave! you were probably lying glued to the couch with the remote just out of reach. I have taken in many a bad movie myself that way. ;)

If a guy showed up at an event with that, he wouldn't get past the registration table. He'd be labeled a farb.

How do we know that's not his Company commander's last name either?

I think everyone should pitch in and buy Charles Heath a replica of this cap. He's probably cooked for 90% of us that attend good events.

As I recall, Charles has cooked at a few bad ones too! (And has made a few better, as well).

Brother Smotherman beat me to the punch. Obviously this guy didn't read the event regs. Someone send him back to the farbfest....

                              One lump or two?

                              Hallo!

I don't think it is hat brass.

I think the lad was a confectionary sutler and molded "hat brass" out of white sugar as a treat for the troops.

                              But I could be wrong.

                              :)
